5 Drive Modes.
At the push of a button, you can select between five distinct drive modes to match your mood: Eco, Normal, Sport, N and N Custom. These modes alter the character of the i30 N by changing the operating parameters of engine throttle response, suspension stiffness, stability control, steering weight, and rev-matching intensity. On i30 N Performance the electronic limited slip differential and exhaust sound can also be controlled.

N Traction and
Developed in-house, the N Traction and Stability Control is like a good co-pilot, helping when
necessary but otherwise being quiet, never disturbing your driving fun and making you go even
faster. If desired, it can be switched off completely for maximum racetrack feeling.

High-performance cornering capabilities for maximum fun – The i30 N is a corner rascal, with
features like the N Corner Carving Differential (Electronically Controlled Limited Slip Differential).
Specifically designed and engineered by Hyundai to provide a unique carving feeling through
even the most challenging corners, this differential maintains maximum fun and stability
throughout braking, and when entering and exiting corners. It allows driven wheels to turn at
different speeds by applying different amounts of torque to them, reducing wheel slip in and
minimising understeering in corners.
Pump up the volume. The Variable Exhaust Valve lets you select different levels of exhaust sound
– relatively retrained in Normal mode, to more engaged in Sport mode, to the crackling
“after-burn” growl in N mode with added fuel detonations, like a rally car in fast upshifts.
