Procedure) regulations, which measure fuel, energy consumption, range and emissions in passenger vehicles
in Europe.
This is designed to provide figures closer to real-world driving behaviour. According to the NEDC (New
European Driving Cycle),
the driving range is 546km. NEDC is the current method of testing, which is being replaced with WLTP.

Nobody ever said that electric mobility had to be boring. Lightning quick off the line thanks to the 395 Nm of instant torque delivered through the all-electric powertrain, this sporty SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in only 7.6 seconds. You define where you go with the 64 kWh battery with up to 449 km on the WLTP cycle (546km NEDC converted) driving range on a single charge.
Depending on your grid connection at home or the type of fast charging station you have access to,
KONA Electric offers various possibilities and plug types for charging.
Fast charging
When using a 100 kW direct current (DC) fast-charger station, KONA Electric’s lithium-ion
polymer battery only takes about 54 minutes to charge to 80% state of charge (SOC). If
you connect to a 50kW station, the charging time is 75 minutes.
Normal charging
When connected to an AC charging station, it takes 9 hours 35 minutes to fully charge the long-range
battery pack. You can also connect to a regular household power socket using the ICCB-cable (in-cable control box)
for a charging time of 31 hours. KONA Electric comes equipped with an on-board-charger,
which converts AC power from the wall socket to DC power that charges the battery in the vehicle.

As you like it. KONA Electric’s advanced battery management system gives you complete control.
Battery status
One look is all it takes. Range and battery state of charge are clearly displayed, as well as charging times when plugged
into the various types of chargers.
Charging time reservation
A few taps is all it takes to save money. Use the Charging Time Reservation function on the centre screen to program start
and stop charging times to make the most of off-peak electricity rates and wake
up to a fully charged battery.
Charging limit
Set a Charging Limit – for example 50% – to take advantage of a fast-charger station in the city for the drive home – and
then fully charge the battery at home while you’re sleep to take advantage of
low electricity rates at night.
