Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
In order to use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto in your Hyundai car you will need a compatible iPhone or Android phone with an active cellular connection and data plan. Apple CarPlay or Android Auto will use data connection of your phone and costs may incur due to your carrier’s rate plans. Use of Apple CarPlay or Android Auto will result in the transmission of certain user and vehicle information (such as vehicle location, speed, and compass orientation) to your iPhone or Android phone. This information shall be necessary to use all options in Apple CarPlay or Android Auto properly.
Hyundai shall have neither access to any of your phone data, nor will storage any of these data in the headunit of the car. The headunit only mirrors the data of the iPhone or Android Phone by using the Apple CarPlay or Android Auto software. Changes in operating systems, hardware, software, and other technology integral to providing Apple CarPlay or Android Auto functionality, as well as new or revised governmental regulations, may result in a decrease or cessation of Apple CarPlay or Android Auto functionality and services. Hyundai does not provide any warranty or guarantee of future Apple CarPlay or Android Auto performance or functionality with any of its systems. Apple CarPlay or Android Auto vehicle integration is provided as is and Hyundai does not guarantee or warrant the constant availability.
Only use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto when conditions allow you to use it safely.
