The ix35 Performance

Transmission*

Whether you prefer automatic or manual transmission, your ix35 will be equipped with a smooth and efficient six-speed gearbox. Manual transmission is standard across the range with automatic available as an option in conjunction with four-wheel-drive and high power 2.0 CRDi engine (184BHP).

‘R’ CRDi Engine

Hyundai’s latest generation diesel engine is fitted to the ix35 in two sizes and three power outputs, there is something for everybody:
- 1.7 CRDi manual with 115BHP
- 2.0 CRDi manual 4 wheel-drive with 136BHP
- 2.0 CRDi High Power 4 wheel-drive automatic with 184BHP.
 

Torque on Demand 4WD

Where fitted, the sophisticated 4WD system automatically detects driving conditions and distributes power accordingly. For normal road conditions, the front wheels only are driven to ensure maximum fuel efficiency.
